FEAST TO PROSPERITY AT PFS RESTAURANTS THIS CHINESE NEW YEAR
 
For the Chinese, the enjoyment of food symbolises the possession of great health and wealth. For the coming lunar festivities, food lovers will be able to eat to their hearts' content in the great company of family and friends at PFS's group of fine restaurants.
To celebrate good food and the Lunar New Year, Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, Teochew City Seafood Restaurant and the Noodle Place Restaurant will boast special ala carte and set menus to make you wish "gong xi fa cai" with "oomph".
 
Topping the list as a must-try highlight at the restaurants is the Prosperity Yu Sheng. With a selection of fresh and generous cuts of salmon and mackerel slices, each mouthful of Yu Sheng is a tangy delight, with juicy crisp vegetables and delicious condiment and sauces. At the Noodle Place Restaurant, abalone cuts are also available to pamper taste buds instead of raw fish slices. To satisfy early cravings for Yu Sheng, this traditional platter of mixed vegetables and raw fish or shellfish slices will be available from 1 February 2002 at the Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant.
 
For the New Year, Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, well known for its Beijing cuisine, will serve up two New Year's eve dinner packages boasting its renowned Authentic Barbecued Peking Duck. A popular substitute for the traditional suckling pig, Prima Tower's Peking Duck is deliciously honey glazed and roasted to perfection. Deliciously wrapped in hand-made melt-in-your-mouth egg flour wraps, the combination of warm and crispy fragrant duck skin and sweet sauce is a mouth-watering welcome for the Year of the feisty Horse.
 
Another must-savour house special at the restaurant is the Shredded Scallop With Fish and Egg White. Simple in its preparation, the crux of the popular dish lies in the freshness of the ingredients. The sweetness of scallops and fish meat heightened by the lightness of steamed egg white is made even tastier with a slight sprinkling of pepper and a few drops of vinegar.
 
For Teochew food lovers, the Teochew Superior Shark's Fin, Braised Goose Web with Fish Maw and Sweet Mashed Yam with Pumpkin and Gingko Nuts at the Teochew City Seafood Restaurant are highly recommended to pamper you gastronomically. All of authentic Teochew heritage, only the best and freshest ingredients are selected and used by skilled Teochew chefs to work their culinary magic. Nurturing a palette for fine Teochew cuisine, Teochew City Seafood Restaurant will also be offering eight set menus to whet a wide range of appetites this Lunar New Year.
 
Joining the festive cheer is also the Noodle Place Restaurant with its popular melt-in-your-mouth Pan-fried Codfish. An order that has been flying off the order chit faster than you can say "gong xi fa cai", die-hard fans will be standing by this dish to bring them luck and prosperity in the years to come.
 
Adding to the gaiety of the season, Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant will award diners with festive highs like a complimentary bottle of red wine and eight delicious lotus-paste filling fortune ingots for luck and prosperity when they order set menus, "House of Prosperity" or "Good Fortune" on 10 and 11 February 2002. Besides a complimentary breathtaking panoramic view of the skyline from the bay windows of the restaurant, diners will also receive a complimentary $50 PFS dining voucher for every $500 spent at the restaurant during the festive season.
 
As for those who wish to enjoy family warmth and dine in the comfort of their own homes, PFS Catering, the catering arm of PFS Pte Ltd has designed special Lunar New Year set menus to see to your reunion dinner needs this coming festive season.
 
With reunion dinner packages that cater to a small family of four to a large family of 10 and above, many will be enjoying fuss-free yet scrumptious dinner this New Year. The Lunar New Year's Eve reunion dinner packages are available at $20-$28 per person, while the Lunar New Year package that is available from 13-18 February 2002 is priced at $26.80 per person.
 
Boasting a range of evergreen favourites like Prosperity Yu Sheng, Braised Duck with Chinese Mushroom and Chestnuts, Pineapple Fried Rice and Sautéed Seafood with Yam Ring, the well-thought out menu will be delivered to your door step for your dining pleasure at only an additional transportation charge of between $10-$30.
